game freezing and then speeds up
its already 2-3 weeks in game freezing 5-10-15 seconds and then speeds up same time. problem isnt from internet provider. in the moment when igame freezes and i paused in the menu is also freeze and lag. help me someone

hi @EA_Cade im playing with lan cable on my ps4, not with wifi, it started with latest patch and every day same problem but with only fifa 20. i think me and @JordanDevlin97 have the same problem.

Hello Cade,
I have tried everything yet nothing seems to work. I have to best BT internet you can get and my NAT type is always Open with my online connection being 10/10 on every single other game except fifa 20. I have had 3 losses to my weekend league on fifa due to this “speed up lag” causing my opponent to score while my game freezes then speeds up to find they have scored. If this does not get sorted then I will stop playing Fifa completely as it is becoming impossible to play a game without this awful lag.
Any other ideas?

Hi @ero177,
Speed up lag is a packet loss issue, it's caused by the game attempting to send data to us or your opponent and not being able to get through. You can resolve this 90% of the time by DMZing the console in your router or by playing on an ethernet cable instead of WiFi.
