Does FIFA 20 delay exist?
Recently i saw someone post this on answers.ea; "Now it's so slow and unplayable, i like to play quick attacking football...i now find myself having to pass 100 times to be able to get up the pitch! none of my players seem to be able to outrun anyone, they feel so sluggish on the ball.
for now I've stopped playing, this is ruining the fifa experience...when will they stop blaming it on our internet providers and spend some god damn money on some servers!"
Here is a good example of what i mean. Certain people complaining on servers when their players can't outrun someone. Thats clearly coded in the game when connection doesn't affect ingame stats. Someone tell me what is really meant by delay please. Because to me it's clearly put there intentionally to create tension and what not.

all u have to do its to pass or tackle faster with 1-2 sec earlier, this is fun:). Of course there is a big delay in online mode, just play kick off then go online and u will see day-night difference

For me it’s got nothing to do with how fast your players run. When I have delay my payers don’t dribble properly. You know what the game should feel like, you know how your players react. So you notice when they take an extra touch before passing, or when you try to change direction before passing but they take too long to turn and you end up passing while facing the wrong way. That’s how I notice delay.
Something that’s very prominent this year compared to previous years is inputs not registering. I’m having lots of right stick movements just not going through. So frustrating just jogging into a defender expecting a skill move to pop that never comes out. Also shots and passes that don’t come out, I’ve had to turn off timed finishing so I can spam shooting, it’s not good.

I have a 150mb download speed, wired and perfect for every game bar fifa.
My gameplay looks nothing like what I see on YouTube for gameplay on ps4 using the same players as me and often in the UK. Their gameplay is so so much smoother, passes are instant, skill moves are instant, something is very wrong where its servers or "dynamic momentum"

Yes it exists. I had it since i got the game. Very difficult to get players to move or pass etc.
Played last night a bunch of games with very little lag and the game felt absolutely fun and enjoyable to play.

Hmm this I the first time I've seen that quote but if it's true that they've coded the game to artificially engineer close results and comebacks then that's absolutely **** stupid.
Late goals happen in real life because one team is more tired, one team mentally switches off etc, not because someone rolls a dice to see if it's their turn to score. That's replicated in a game by reducing stamina depending on style of play, and whether the person holding the controller can hold full concentration for 12 minutes.
As a developer myself I have some sympathy with those employed by EA as often they'll be forced into doing things by middle managers who don't know their backside from their elbow. But if they've chosen to code a game like that then they're utterly clueless.

It exists alright, I would go as far as saying a pro would have a hard time winning match on my connection because everyone of my players are slower than the opponents, since non can out pace I have to keep turning back doing alot of fake pass turns etc but even then there's no quick/tight turn its the same turn as someone like Neuer would make.
Defending nearly impossible because the opponent quick turns and ability to stop running on time.
Havent even seen 4 bars this year yet all the matches are 5.

When I play on my brothers PS4 the game feels so different just smoother and more responsive. He downloaded the game and I have the disk I have the PS4 pro and he has a standard PS4 we both have the same internet provider both wired etc but for some reason his feels so much better it’s very noticeable. I was thinking maybe I should try downloading the game from the store to see if it improves but I really don’t want to give ea anymore of my money.

I have my doubts if it will be fixed, its too random, every game seems to play different, I think (I'm no expert so just a guess) its just far too many people playing at certain times, the only way to improve that to my knowledge is servers.

There is definitely button delay in my opinion unless the animations are really that bad, but I've pressed buttons and nothing happen, I've also pressed and its take longer than it should to happen, I've also had no delay and what seems like perfect gameplay.
Earlier I finally experienced a sluggish game of squad battles, it was extremely slow and poor to react and obviously very noticeable to usual play for me.
I use wired and pay my own bills so know exactly what connection I have and I highly doubt its that, the company I use even told me its overkill for gaming.
For me there seems to be 3 levels of gameplay;
1. This pathetic slow slugfest which is borderline unplayable
2. Occasionally a bit slow but playable
3. Near perfect (rare, usually at non peak times like 7am or late evening)

Same here i only ever get 4 bars and the delay in Fifa 20 is more evident then in previous Fifas.
The only way around this is to premeditate passes as in load up the power before the player receives the ball and hope for the best.
I have tried everything.
1.wired internet 250mb up 50mb down
2. Port forwarding
3. Dmz mode
4. Different DNS servers
5. Gaming Monitors
6. Gaming routers
Yet i can not seem to get anywhere near offline game experience.
I am not sure if its my location (Dubai) or Fifas servers.
But i guess it will be fixed anytime soon and just have to get on with it.

It definitely exists, and I would be more than willing to let EA or a Pro come to my house and try to play it in delay conditions. There is no way EA could blame it on my connection or equipment.

I haven't played online since fifa 15.been playing online now for the first time and zero delay in 20 matches.
Think its people playing on wifi and 10 mb lines that encounter delay

Yep don't do that. I have the digital version and a lot of delay. Funny cause i was thinking that the digital version might be a part reason for all this delay
