Apparently removed the irish one too I dont think it ever worked but it was there before.

No they didn't, that's the server I always play on, get the best gameplay with a low ping.

Maybe not then but they did remove them from Battlefield. Ive always connected to one in Holland or Germany despite living in N.Ireland.
Always get 5 bars but its unplayable.

Do you get a 5 bar ping to the Dutch, German servers? They always try to put me on the Dutch server, but I only get a 4 bar ping, do keep backing out until I get the 5 bar ping, that's the Irish server and my netduma tells me the location.

Havent checked the actual server in fifa 20 but yeah I aways get 5 bars, sometimes if I go wireless it flicks between 4 and 5.
Last time I did check it in fifa 19 it was Amsterdam 5 bars.

People who live in the Netherlands, Germany, Brazil or England should never offer their experience on these threads, because it is obviously conditioned by the fact that they have servers right next to them.

It's funny though that one guy here who I often spoke to who was living in Austria, right next to Germany, was being redirected to 4600km away servers in who knows what country so far away, it's insanity.

Servers are the worst and most outdated possible netcode on Earth, 90s netcode technology has no place in a competitive 1v1 sports game in 2020.

Servers and netcode are completly different things. every online game needs servers unless you love cheats.

The quality, placement and peering of the servers is one issue... EAs arn't very good the use the same server clusters for all thier games, probably don't maintain them well or spend money on upgrading them, and overload them to within an inch of thier lives no doubt.

The netcode is pretty much established to suck but thats not going to get fixed ever, billions in income but a borrowed engine does that.
