@FlukeyLuk3y I think it was last FIFA that they only addressed this about 10mths into the game. If you're using a wired connection, ports forwarded for console and game, and little network traffic, then there is nothing else you can do on your end.

When this happens, look up the gamertag on your console and you'll find that 99% of the time, the player's from somewhere you shouldn't be matched with as basic maths will show you'll have a terrible connection.

Terrible connections on this game are a perfect storm of : awful matchmaking, awful EA servers, major input lag (even squad battles is dodgy as hell), and I'm pretty convinced a lot of cheats too. Go through EA's channels to try to fix this and see how far you get!!!!
