I experienced similar thing but I got worse outcome. I was leading 6-4 in 81st minute in FUT Champions and I was logged out and got a message that I will have coin reductions and so on. Like the message when you intentially quit. We use several stuff on the wi-fi, everything is working. I hate FIFA I won't ever buy this again. Terrible. 

Of course I lost the win, the coins, the goals, so just go to hell EA. It is not the first time and you are not able to find solution and your policy is bad because you hit those people also who do the game correctly.
