My guess is he was a free agent when they were adding players in.
Some players on the Demo were at the wrong club.
So they have cutoff date A, adding players in, then cutoff date B, fixing late transfers.
He must've signed for Fiorentina after date A.
Considering they have not updated the squads on career mode, I am not sure why they could not fix this and provide the update to FUT.
