I had same issues after last update. Nothing after clicking play.

Got it working by doing these last two steps:

Running file checker to repair any corrupted files... Follow the steps in link below.

Also.... On origin. Go to origin > application settings > scroll down to start up options and turn off origin helper service.

I had tried for hours and hours trying everything, one of those two steps fixed my issue.
