Best thing is no one is answering on threads about this issue. Don't know where the so called Community Managers are. Communication has become worse.
The Game is dead. TM is dead, Gameplay is absolutely unenjoyable, Packweight is a rip off. I'm enjoying Destiny 2 atm.
Yeah, exactly, EA needs to realize that hiding the truth and undoing what was right is not a long term solution. This FIFA they even ditched their own servers and switched to Amazon Web Service servers to improve gameplay, which are argubaly the best in the industry. Sadly their legacy lag compensation just ruins the promising hardwork. They should just really keep going down the route they took in the last year's patch where better connections are actually better off, instead of going back to day one. That way, the people who play on bad connections will eventually realize that they actually need a proper connection, but not at the expense of the other user to play the game online properly.
If this is the case it wouldn't surprise me if some people in the community would even sabotage their own internet connection to tip the balance in their favour. EA defo need to sort it out somehow because its beyond a joke at the moment.
This will 100% start to happen. I remember back when they added lag compensation in call of duty, so many videos came out explaining how you could throttle your internet so you could have the advantage.
This is still a thing in other games. Apex Legends is one that comes to mind, if you have bad connection or intentionally throttle your speed, you get a huge advantage, to everyone else you start to glitch and teleport around and on your screen, you don't suffer anything.
In the higher ranks of the competitive mode you get a lot of people doing it on purpose so they start to teleport around making it almost impossible to hit them because one second they're infront of you and the next, they're 3 feet to the side with a shotgun pointed straight at your head.
The patch EA added last FIFA that gave the person with better connection less lag didn't work, it seems from those posts and people I've spoken to that playing on WIFI/hotspots actually gives you an advantage, wouldn't surprise me if more and more people do it since its clear EA have no clue how to fix this one sided lag/button delay issue.
