lol it's funny how you're all trying to comfort each other. Bad calls were made both ways, and also correct decisions were made as well. Fans of each team will see it their way, but I believe the final result was a fair one for both teams.
Hmmm good comeback. Can you name the bad calls against Chelsea?
The bad call was not adding a minimum of 8 minutes added time. Everything else the ref got spot on. Veltman was sent off for dissent. He was walking a fine line by screaming in the Ref's face. He was already on a yellow, he should have known better. The penalty was a correct call as it was an obvious hand ball. Blind deserved a second yellow for that lunge, no questions asked. Azpilicueta's goal was correctly ruled off by VAR due to the rules. All in all, it was an entertaining game and the 4-4 draw was a fair result.
Maybe take those fanboy glasses off and be objective kiddo.

Are you trying to type Promes? Are you trying to type FOUL?
Ill explain one more time; Blind got fouled before he made his foul. IF you would say that wasnt a foul and Blind should get his second yellow card the referee shouldve blown straight away; you cant give advantage when youre gonna give a red card. Its even in fifa man come on; whenever a player gets his second yellow youll see the advantage sign in screen for 1 second before the ref blows no matter what to give him his second yellow.
This referee clearly gave the "advantage" sign with his arms before he gave Blind his second yellow card. The pen wasnt even a pen; Veltman had his arm straight next to his body; what should he have done?
Also its very funny how in the first game (home for Ajax) they showed promes was offside within 30 seconds (where they actually got the wrong frame; it wasnt offside) but for the chelsea offside goal there was nothing to show?
So in conclusion; today Ajax got 2 undeserved red cards; 1 pen shouldnt be given and i also dont think the first one was a pen but that one is debateble. And a offside goal for chelsea.
And remember; 2 weeks ago Ajax got robbed out of clear goal and a clear pen that wasnt given.
If you cant see this i think you are the one who didnt see the match or you just dont have any knowledge of the rules. Its utterly disgusting this is possible on this level of professional footbal
@Bapinho
VAR gave the second yellow.
VAR giving a yellow card doesn't negate the play BECAUSE the advantage was called.
It would only have negated the play, if say, someone had been offside in that part of the play, then anything after the offside wouldn't count.
The ref called advantage, acknowledging the foul, but the ref didn't realise it was yellow worthy (this is what I'm assuming, or else the ref would've stopped the play to give the red, in the history of football no ref gives a second yellow and doesn't stop play) so he gave the second yellow after being informed by VAR

Ohhh really! So the faul on blind before the faul he makes doesn’t count. But maybe read the rule books a little beter.
The rule in the books reads: when a faul has been committed that will be repremended with a second yellow card the play has to stop. So if he intents to give Blind his second yellow he has by the rulebook stop play right there. If he lets the play continue he can not give a yellow card that results in a red card. That’s in the rule book.
But hey that’s what you’ll read in the papers tomorrow.
@Mrhey31
You do realise you can't go back in time with VAR right?
A wrong all was made, the right call was made to correct it.
It would have been scandalous if they didn't give the pen because the foul before it negated the play, that's not how VAR works.

No. The ref is correct. He should let the play continue. A red card incident doesnt imply it has to be stopped.
I would say the whole incident was a tough call for ref but he was correct. Ajax players committed two fouls that are worthy for yellow card. The play was advantage to Chelsea so it should be continued. The second foul was inside the penalty area so it’s a penalty.
Ajax fans felt unfair. I can understand that. But to me it really looks fair to me.

Then the hand ball, then most likely overstepping a players bounds to the official for the second red... smh... did you even watch the match?
It all comes down to rules. Rules the ref didn’t obey. But hey it’s the uefa they will talk things straight that are curved.

A) I think it’s quite clear that Blind fouls Pulisic and as a result Pulisic falls to the floor colliding legs with Blind.
B )When I second yellow card is to be given the play should stop - unless there is a goal scoring opportunity ( which you could argue there was as CHO was running into the box and about to shoot).
So I think I the referee has actually made the correct calls and it is indeed you who needs to check the rule book.

Pulisic FOULED Blind, it’s so obvious and ridiculous idk how the ref didn’t think it was. Pulisic got bullied off the ball and on his way down tripped Blind. So if the ref wanted to give advantage that’s fine.
The foul on Blind was bs, Tammy dove, it was obvious but fine you want to give a yellow there do it. But the advantage should’ve been in favor of Ajax bc of the Pulisic foul. Therefore the whistle should’ve been blown when Blind dove in.
No advantage to Chelsea means no shot, no handball (yes it was a hand ball) and no pen or sending off for Veltman.
The Pulisic foul is what triggered all of this, it wasn’t a colliding of feet or legs or w.e Pulisic INTENTIONALLY tries to foul Blind it’s sooo obvious.

Oh wait... that is unless the official did not realize in the moment that Blind was not already on a yellow.
Many times calls are missed or not called, even in this match that ultimately ended in goals for both teams.
But in the end if you are an Ajax fan you will deal one way, if you are a Chelsea fan another way.
Ultimately I the end results makes the rest of the group stage much more interesting, so the fans win in many ways. At least the neutrals of which I am.
Oh and if you basing how actual matches should be called from EA FIFA? Well... smh.

Just went and watched these incidents after reading this thread as I found it quite interesting. I have no bias towards either team - but @RTG20 you're saying that the ref didn't realize it was worthy of a yellow. That's clearly not true, if you watch the moment Blind commits the foul, the ref is getting ready to blow and pull something from his pocket right away. That seems like a clear indication, that he was already giving Blind the second yellow, and thus should have never let the play continue.
Big, big mistake really.
