Thinking of going 3atb but is it WL suicide
With defending being as crap as it is in 20, is going 3atb suicide going into the WL?
Failing that go 5atb.....
Anyone used these in the WL and had success?
If so what teams you using... Need inspiration

I think I'm quite a good defender, I tried playing 3-4-1-2 the other day and got absolutely annihilated on the counter attack. Even setting my team to play wide on CTs, once they were past my midfielders my 3 CBs just got ruined. Great for attacking but defensively I just couldn't manage - With two high/high RM/LMs you 'might' be okay but even then I don't think it'd be a good idea

I got 19 wins with 352. Just make sure you DONT rush your cb's at oncoming attackers. Run back at goal and delay there attack until the rest of your team gets back. The games I lost It was just stale games where it was hard to brake them down and I didn't have a plan B

I would be happy with scream pique as cd and use full backs as the rcb and lcb but would be hard to do for chem

I tried 352 for one game this past WL. The delays I experienced were horrendous. My opponent had a better connection, which meant faster players, quicker reactions, etc. All he did was counter, speed burst, and run around my slow grandpa with amnesia defense. I lost that game 5-2. It was the most goals I allowed this past weekend.
My cb's were shadow Nesta in the middle, "i pulled him from a pack" Shadow Pique LCB, and Shadow Lenglet, RCB...
Maybe with a better connection, and faster response ratios, 3 in the back would work better for me.

I'd slap Shadow on all but thinking 5atb might suit better with them 3..... have Carvajal and Alba as my wingbacks.

I’ve ran 3atb all year. WL I stop at 14 wins. Have gone 14-4, 14-6, 14-4 the past few WL’s. And my team isn’t even that good. So as long as you can defend you’ll be fine

I'd advise starting with a back 4 and changing to a 3 at the back in game.
Fast full backs are much more affordable (and quicker) than fast cb's, plus the extra agility and balance will help with jockeying agile strikers.
352 worked great in the last weekend league for me.

I got gold 3 which is as high as I’ve ever finished including Fifa 19 using 3412. And last weekend I had alderwiereld vertonghen and scream otamendi.shadow shadow anchor.
It’s my favourite formation.
I’m awful at defending too.
Against top players I was crucified but I generally did well for my standards. And the difference is at the top of the pitch. High scoring games and lots of fun.

Got gold 2 using 3421 a few weeks ago after getting bored . If you can concentrate for long periods its brilliant . But as soon as you switch of them Rashfords run in behind. As somebody said above dont rush your CB out

This is spot on.
I play 3-4-1-2 and the last 2 WL have finished on 11 wins from 19 games (just don't get time to play all)
Using exactly this mentality. I do have fast CB to the left and right as sometimes they get dragged out to deal with wingers but the middle one just needs to be solid and time his tackles
