FIFA 20 installation error

I've been trying to get FIFA20 running on my PC (Windows 10 Education N, v1903) via Origin for the past 2 days. Origin seems to download and install the game succesfully, but when it runs the game it just pops up with an error message: "Something went wrong during installation of the game. Please reinstall the game and try again." and then shows the game launch/configuration window.

I've already reinstalled Origin and FIFA20 and tried doit all with firewall/antivirus-software turned off and still can't get it working. What I also tested, was to install the game on my laptop (which unfortunately doesn't have the performance to run the game) -> it worked perfectly. I then tried to copy paste the FIFA20 intallation from my laptop to my PC, but then I got the same error message again.

So... what the hell is the problem? Why can't I run the game on my primary PC? I'm really fed up with this situation because I've paid for the game and then spent 2 evenings trying to get it working and still it won't work.
