I really want to try Ibra, would he work in a 41212(2)? I usually switch to 352 depending on the opponent.

Yeah, I also dont want him to make many runs, but prefer his back to the goal game with smart passing or just shield, turn and shoot.
@Amargaladaster26 my team has worked so much better with Zlatan on Target Man instructions. He regularly sucks centerbacks out of position and lays the ball off to someone who can make a run in behind. I think people are so used to "get in behind" strikers that they don't know how to defend target strikers connecting play

This. Target man let's ibra drop back a touch to hold up and get others in the attack. Also scores boatloads for me.

Do you think Ibra as ST and Messi CF would work in a 4411 ??? Ibra on 8chem, but i doubt that will matter at all. All I need is an Icon midfielder to makte that work

Keep making a few changes to the weaker players in the team whilst I’m playing around with formations. But likely the two mid spots that are not CAM/CDM will be replaced by icons within the next month or so.

Just use Pavon and you can have whatever backline you want pretty much. I am switching to 4231 ingame, starting with this:
Yeah but why would I gimp myself by wasting an attacking space on Pavon just to get Ibra on 8 chem?

Haven’t touched the guy since I bought Messi, but I paid 380k for him so would rather keep him than sell, plus he’s fun to play with. But he feels a bit crap since the last patch, less finesse long range goals.

I used Mitrita and Nani for Icon Swaps SB with him and they were solid, loved that they had both 5*WF, sometimes were failing in the finishing though.
That Pavon is suprisingly a good card, I am not even substituting him unless he has low stamina.

He is actually really good. And I prefer everyone on full chem.

I absolutely agree! Having Ibra surrounded with faster players and just hold the defender and make smart passes to runners is so great.
