EA will continue to make big money as long as there's no viable competitor. I played PES for a day at a friend's place... my gosh it was bad. Everything from the UI and menus to gameplay and AI is still far behind Fifa.

I suspect the vast majority of money is spent by adults. I don't have data to back this up, purely subjective.

I hold the same opinion, kids may spend £10-20 here and there, adults are dropping £80 for that 12k the day the game comes out and probably more.
I done about £215 day one, wont do anymore though but I cant see many kids doing that and not even hitting that amount throughout a year.
I spent around €500 in Fifa 19 because it was my first year back playing fifa in a few years and I had the money to do it but after realising how terrible the gameplay was I decided to spend nothing extra this year and I'm glad I didn't because I think the gameplay is terrible after the latest patch and don't even get me started on the servers

You're probably right, I just pray for the day this company either crumbles or produces the game to a standard everyone knows its capable of.

Whilst I agree that microtransactions in there current state are inherently wrong, the masses have voted with their wallets and profits are through the roof!
Yeah this is very true but I wonder what sort of hit will be taken if they are made illegal for u18s

It may be up now but I feel like it's going to drop dramatically over the course of the next 3 or 4 years so I'll keep up to date with it while not buying the game.

Where can I find this information so I can watch it plummet year by year as casuals get bored of the dreadful gameplay and servers, long time fifa players have had enough and microtransactions get made illegal for u18s. Anyone know?
So much hate. It would be wiser to invest in it.
I'm a long time Fifa player (since first Fifa came out in 1995 if I recall) and didn't had enough.

The UI and menus are enough to turn me off the game regardless of the gameplay. I'm not going to spend hours staring at something that looks like a video game from 2006.

Ea is a publicly traded company - this means they are required by law to disclose all profit/loss statements four times a year (quarterly earnings report). Just google it.

Oh I'm 100% out after 20, I'll probably buy 21 (not on release) but this is for sure my last FUT, saying that I might just stick to 20 and skip 21, I enjoy the game I suppose but I'm definitely not starting over again, every years version of fifa has issues/exploits, I think its something I need to give a miss for 5+ years or so, I want to go back to the days where getting a new game was exciting now its just a reset button on your progress.
