FIFA 20 PC career game not starting

I just started a career mode on FIFA 20 PC, and whenever I try to play a game, I either get stuck in the pre-game training, or I can't even start that at all. This doesn't only happen for this particular save, I randomly get stuck in the skill game before the match and have to close and re-open the game.
