(PC) Fifa 20 stuck on "searching for opponent screen"

fifa 20 on pc, stays on the "searching for opponent screen" for volta and online season. I even changed out my team and checked my settings

i updated the game through origin today and i have not been able to play any online matches ever since i bought the game.
