Matchmaking in Apex Legends
Hey could anyone please answer this question,
Does Apex Legends have squad based matchmaking for at least non-ranked games, what I mean by “squad based” is for instance if you’re in a squad of 3 people will it try to match-make you with other squads of 3 people and so if you’re playing solo it would put you in a game with other solos or even some duos because you need solos to fill out a squad.
I get asked this question a lot and I don’t have a definitive answer for the people asking so it would be great to actually know for sure.

It tries to fill up the squad but you can be left in games when you're on your own because your team mate may have lagged out during character selection

But from what I remember it just fills up squads and matchmake you with whatever. But I havent played Apex for 4 months so no idea if this have changed.
