why do EA ask everyone to run a UO Trace to easo.ea.com ??

when anyone complains about delay EA ask to run a UO Trace to easo.ea.com regardless of the location . the server is located in the US , what's the point of tracing it if you're located far from it and telling ppl that they have a high ping  , wouldn't it make more sense to test the nearest server to the player which he will be connected to in games??

so you only look for packet loss and and the average difference between best/worst ping not the ping time itself ? or you have an average time for each location that decides how good the connection is ? what decides how good or bad the test results is?

Hi @Mr_Giallorossi,

The UO Trace connects to a server in our network that's low traffic, it's sole purpose is to test your overall connection to our network; it is not to test your connection to FIFA.
