I barely saw anyone use Messi on the tournament cup stream thing last night/whenever it was
For out wide, Neymar is better
For a striker, R9/Eusebio/Pele are better
For a CAM, one of the latter 2 from above
I'm going to be getting Messi but just a bit concerning not seeing him used and going to cost ~1.4 mil

Follow up question: I have baby Nedved Ronaldo and eventually Messi. Where should I play them? I’d be open for any formation other than a 5 or 3 back that would get the most out of them. (If the formation has 4 attackers who should that be as well)

And I am a mediocre dribbler at best, so small guys usually dons suit my style, but this year I bought Messi and he is a gamechanger. Fantastic in every way possible. as long as you dont try to outmuscle van Dijk, he is the best possible attacker card that is not an Icon.
Is he worth his prize? He surely is.
Is it worth to wait for him to drop? Absolutely not. If he is 200K cheaper next month, so be it. You can enjoy him in four WL untill then and he will geive you better results, which means better rewards.
If you like him, just get him and dont look back. You will never sell him.
I would consider myself an above average dribbler and I do prefer smaller players so it seems like a no brainer. Now it’s just a matter of getting the funds

I play Messi CF in a posession style 4411 and he is amazing. Grizmann is my Striker for now, but he will get replaced by 89 Drogba soon. His stamina is not an issue at all at CF and he gets the ball so much in dangerous areas to create or finish himself. People panic when Messi has the ball around the box, so he can set up his teammates a lot.

You wont regret getting him.
He won me a WL match against a (far) better player on his own today. The opponent was all over me, but he missed all his chances. Messi showed up i scoring positions 3 times and scored all 3.
