AI covering and tracking back!
Slowly patch by patch the AI is taking over more and more ITS RIDICULOUS
Latest patch made all the below even worse then ever on fifa 20
Im sick and tired of constantly being intercepted by AI players covering every inch that is worth exploring and bumping into you from behind as you burn the manually used defender
WE know its your attempt to let the less skilled players have a feeling of control
and encourage them to keep playing, put this had gotten out of hand!
This has to be addressed by and in a new patch
heres what you CAN and SHOULD do to make EVERYONE happy about the AI:
Keep this OP ridiculous AI in Rivals from 5th Div and below
REDUCE the AI when you enter 4th Rivals Division and have that AI for 3rd-4th Rivals Division
REDUCE it more for 1st-2nd Rivals Divisions
Im sure we are good enough to cover and track runs on our own in the upper divisions!!!!
EDIT: Fut Champs should have AI level from 1st-2nd Rivals Division
Draft was fine before the patch havent play the mode since the patch, but AI level from 3rd-4th Rivals Division would be acceptable in Drafts

Your idea sound fun but what about fut champions. If EA really wanted a skill gap they would have completely remove drop back.
The AI on balanced like 3 depth is fine. It is the drop back 1 depth that is too OP.
EA dont want a skill gap, thats why this idea will make everyone happy
And yes AI level in fut champs should be AI level in 1st-2nd Divisions

Stupid idea. What is the point in people working their way up to better defenders with high defensive positioning stats if you're then going to make them all iduots who just stand there and let you pass through them?
You just want the game to be easy for you. Maybe you should practise more and get better at the game rather than whingeing about it because you aren't good enough.
you lost the plot friend, no players is going to just "stand there" when you reduce AI, i said REDUCE not REMOVE
Again AI as gotten better and better for every patch so can you figure out what level of AI i want?
Early access and full release AI was fine
did you complain about players just "standing there" during early access or when game was full released?
No you didnt
Also the defenders youre working hard to get with high positioning stats will still do the job for you in 5th division, if thats your level.
In div 3-4 all you need to learn is manually defend on a higher skill level than need in 5th Div and lower
AND in div 1-2 youre in need of even higher manual defending skills, i have no doubt any player currently in the divisions from 1 to 4 will have no problem mastering playing against a reduced AI as described above
I dont want a game thats easy for me, i want a game thats man vs man,
i want a game thats rewarding when you tackle,
thats rewarding when you break down the defense
thats rewarding when you put yourself in great shooting position
right now the AI is responsible for 80% of interceptions made by both teams in a 90min game
thats unacceptable
please refrain from telling others to get good when you clearly have no clue what level they are
i got elite 3 three times with a 30k team plus untradeable Ter Stegen,
the 6 shadows and 2 Hunters and 2 Snipers on my players are more expensive than my squad
you want pictures? can i see your finishes?
what division are you in? flex it please, isnt that why you commented like that?
those belittling comment gets you no where

Just have AI set to 3-4 div level or more preferably 1-2 div AI level in FUT CHAMPS
Matchmaking will have the noobs play each other anyway in most games

I'm not one to complain about things but this week was ridiculous. Literally every man on the field is being very closely marker and even when I trigger run the full backs stick to the attackers like glue.
Add the fact that the opponent has 5 guys covering the middle and it makes it very hard to break down. Most of my goals came fro. The wing have to do cut back passes for tap ins because its impossible to break down opponents in the middle.
Exactly same.
I didn't so much have a problem breakinf down opponents, and in fact in some games the passing and movement i had made me fall in love with my formation...
the problem would be once i got there i have 3 ai opponents diving in front of the ball making blocks, the ultra super tight marking and interceptions in the box.. this coupled with my players either missing the ball or taking 3 steps to shoot it made it borderline impossible and when i did get the shots off keeper making triple saves etc.
The players were ultra tracking and pressuring from every angle across the pitch but i was able to play through most of it.
Then when i was up, and later into the game my players pace just completely disappears and my opponents who are on red stamina (and with slower paced players) are outpacing me everywhere including my 90 pace players and matching for pace freshly subbed 90 pace players.

My players run at 50 pace and just let the whole team run past them.
While my opponents AI do exactly as described in your post.

Whilst I agree that AI defense should be toned down, I find it awkward to see defender like VVD getting out of position and need to be manually adjusted. For bad defenders like Bailly, fine. But the best defenders should really have good enough positioning that you shouldn’t worry about.
To be fair a lot of defenders are having bad positioning already. However you do need skills to figure them out

I spent numerous games knocking the ball around side to side and looking for a pass forward and the clown is running around with a CDM hoping for an interception and a counter. It’s so boring plus the delay. It’s not a fun game. I think I’m gonna play this weeks up coming champs and see what’s what. I am probably going to buy the new cod if it carries on.

Yes to less AI in general. Noobs should learn the hard way. Everyone who starts playing online probably got smashed even the good pros. Either learn and adapt or give up.

This happened to me as well, he played drop back 1 depth. He never tried to take the ball. He just ran around in the penalty area behind his AI defenders. All the time! He blocked every shot every time I tried to dribble he had 2 players there. Won 1-0 In the end, but one of his three chances could have gone in...

They need to make manual tackling worth it first. It's still stupid due to animations. Win a tackle and your defender just stands there, not getting to the ball still allowing the other player to get ball first.

Yesterday I faced a rival in WL who didn't complete a single manual tackle. I even stopped my players on purpose when I was attacking to see if he or she would advance and try a tackle, but nothing happened. My opponent just stood there waiting for an AI interception. Eventually I won the game, but this AI shananigans has to stop...

Literally what I'm doing. I'm winning and in a high division and still it's just boring. Basically playing the AI every match. So I'm getting COD to jump in casually because this is just boring and nauseating
