I think alot of you have got this wrong
H1 2020 is April to end of September and means the tail end of fifa 19 and only the first week of fifa 20.
Therefore the tail end of fifa 19 was a huge success for them and so from a financial point of view, everything they did worked

"Net Revenue Quarterly AnalysisNet RevenueFor the three months ended September 30, 2019, net revenue was $1,348 million, an increase of $62 million, or 5 percent, as compared to the three months endedSeptember 30, 2018. This increase was driven by a $200 million increase in revenue primarily from Apex Legends and Anthem. This increase was partially offsetby a $138 million decrease in revenue primarily from the FIFA, Star Wars and Need for Speed franchises"
It's not all that rosey... seems fifa point sales were down for the tail end of FIFA 19, which might explain some of the "gameplay" choices this year

In the report, EA reveals that its Ultimate Team net revenue in H1 of the financial year 2020 has been $716m, which is up by a whopping 40% from the $509m last year, in the last year.
You are right so we still have a chance to hit them where it hurts!

Yea a lot of people got completely ripped off and conned after playing a nearly perfect game on ea access and first week of release so went and spent some cash
Now look were we are after a few patches
Its not patches that ruined the game its overloaded servers less than 30 % have ea acess

Dumbing the game down is costing them Fifa point sales. They thought they'd increase Fifa point sales, by making the game more casual. I enjoyed Fifa 19 up until the timed finesse shot nerf, because we had a consistent way of scoring. My playtime decreased significantly after the timed finesse shot patch.
As I said on here months ago, it's the hardcore whales who're putting the most money into the game. Why are you catering to the casuals again @EA? The shooting nerf after the last patch done nothing but make the game more casual. Learn from your mistakes EA, dumbing the game down on Fifa 19 cost you profit margins.

Half of that revenue is coming from the likes of Castro and Bateson who have over 1 million fifa points.
