I was in a game of FIFA 20 Ultimate Team Division Rivals, and about 40 minutes in my opponent rage quit, or 'disconnected'. I am sure of this because they queued a pause beforehand and quit almost immediately at the pause (so it wasn't a connection or server error from what I can tell). They were 1-0 up at the time but I was dominating and hopefully going to make a comeback - but that is irrelevant. It counted as a loss which annoys me mainly because of the Div Rivals points and how it looks on my record. Is this meant to happen; can anyone provide some insight here? Also note that this is the second time it has happened - it happened a couple of weeks ago too.

TL;DR - I was losing a match and my opponent rage quit, counting as a loss for me. Is this meant to happen?
