Player Career Mode - Changing Role in Edit Pro not working

Game Mode: Career Mode - Player Career - Create Your Pro
Hi, i am trying to change the role of my pro, but after i pressed "Advance", nothing's changed.
Full Story:
I've created a CDM but the manager keeps playing me in the Right Winger Role with CDM's objective. So I'm trying to change the role to Winger/Attacking but it's not working.
I've also tried changing Kit Number together with the Role, in the end only the Kit Number is changed but role still remain as CDM.
Please help. thanks

Hi Cade.
I've deleted the Profile and recreated a new game. Result is the same.
Just in case of any misunderstanding, I'm referring to "Create Your Pro" in Player Career. Then after the Player Career started, there's this Edit Pro option that allows to switch role but it wont apply the change.
I do realized that selecting "Real Player" or Pro created inside Customise - Profile - Create Player, the "Role" option is grey-ed out.

That's odd, what happens if you delete the pro inside Customise - Profile - Delete and then recreate it?

It also happens to cpu players on your team in player Career mode as well. A left winger got hurt on my team and when he came back from injury the manager played him at center back instead of playing the other seven center backs that we have on the team.
