Same for me. Seems there is an update going on - could take up to 2 hours according to an EA Twitter post. Kind of lame they can't keep at least limited connectivity on...it's 2020 guys, you must have more than 1 server for your most popular game.

Issue:

Unable to connect to Ultimate Team in FIFA20. All other modes including online seasons work. Ultimate Team in FIFA19 also works.

Error:

"We are sorry but there has been an error connecting to FIFA 20 Ultimate Team. You will be returned to the main menu."

When nearing the 90 minute mark, the game just disconnects, happens almost everytime now since update.

Also the lag is unbearable, it takes a while to navigate the squad screen alone.
