The game timed out when trying to claim an Icon player - Luis Figo. This is what happened :

1) I initially had 26 career points in the Icons event. 

2) I complete a career point SBC challenge to get 10 more career points. My total is 36 now.

3) I go to the Icons page to get Luis Figo for which i need 34 career points.

4) I click to get the player , the application hangs and after a wait there is an error saying server issue and i get navigated back to the home page.

5) When i go back to the icons page, i see my career points deducted (only have 2 career points now) and i DIDNT GET the player!

6) The Career points challenge still shows that it was completed and i got 10 points from it, but my total tally of career points is 2 now!

I had to buy career points to get that tally and had to complete a number of expensive challenges over several weeks to get the required points, and after all that to not get the player because of technical issues is absolutely frustrating. 

You can see from the screenshot, that the challenge is shown completed, but the player is still locked.
