Politano Objectives brings out the worst in this community
Let's look at all the scenarios.
1- I've played only twice against someone who understood the benefit of helping each other out...
2- I've played against many others doing the same objectives, however I allowed them to score first to signal intent, and they didn't return the favour... forcing me to try hard and end up in a 1-1 or 2-1 victory for me but a complete waste of time..for BOTH parties.
3- I've played against people not doing the objectives with god squads, playing like it's fut champs, the latest one was winning 6-2 then 7-2 then 8-2 with a few minutes left... the guy had won the game but he absolutely had no care about helping someone out on his way to victory. Germans tend to do this, dont know why.
I know the community is split on this but in my opinion nothing good comes out of it whichever the scenario.
I would be ok having to challenge to obtain this card... I don't necessarily want it easy like scenario 1 but then I should only play people with similar squads trying to do the same objective.
If you couldnt care less about POlitano or helping those trying to get him, that's 100% fine, but then you and I shouldn't cross path, that's just messed up.
It is interesting though, it really brings out the douchebag in people or equally the kindness in the nice people.
It's amazing though, i'd give anyone a win if they help me speed up the objective and save me some real life hours... and equally, they wouldn't have to sweat it out, they get a guaranteed win, maybe promoting them to the next division, but it seems not everyone else has that same logic.

this is the best fun for me in fifa yet, that objective.. looking forward to others, althought i play serie a team so i dont know if be interested

why should anyone help to do any objectives? one it promotes match fixing and 2, what if the person wants to get Rivals points? I find it strange that the OP is getting upset because his opponent refuse to give him a free win...my goodness...this current generation won't even try to earn something with some effort. only try hards are losing sleep over a card they won't even use

EA should have made a separate mode like tourneys a couple years ago.
People saying OP is trying to complete objectives easily are clueless. I wouldn’t mind playing 50 matches to complete it against people with same team, playing against full competitive sides it’s counterproductive.
Why EA don’t just split rivals in 2 like in the tourney mode 2 years ago? There was a Fut Champ tourney and a more causal tourney with fixed team requirement entry. Is that bad to implement it?

I personally don't stop playing even when I've somewhat secured the victory and don't know why should anyone be upset about it. They are not bound by your wishes and playing the game as it's supposed to be played doesn't make them toxic... unless they watch all the replays of course.

no one talks about getting a free win.. I'll happily let my opponent win 11-10 if that meens i get my different serie a clubs som goals...

I've done my share of helping out. But on Sunday i got 4 requests for help thats a hour of my game time gone i dont really care about getting a free win. Sometimes i just want a match. I also think us helping each other out all the time forces EA to add win as a requirement and no one wants that in rivals.

I don't agree with the objectives being in rivals, but whilst they are just embrace the grind and do it legitamately. I quite enjoyed beating a meta pace squad with Defrel and Milik tbh.
Of course you are going to get the odd beating from a no life tryhard, but just pity them and move on.

Somehow managed to do it over the space of about 4 days, not had one person help me out, just played each game regularly and kept rotating my LM, RM, and STs each time they scored.
It is an absolute grind but if someone as terrible at the game as me can do it, trust me, you'll manage it

I do try, but the difference in teams is ridiculous... mind i spanked a few god squads along the way but still, why would i spend 12 mins maybe scoring one goal past VVD... when i can just quit .
This is why I created this post. Because we all lose. People who aren't doing the objective, either spend their time wasting a game helping someone out, or have people quite when they see their team etc ... and those doing the objectives are always going to find the most time/cost efficient way.
EA should not be making it a rivals thing.

To be honest scenario 2 is what bothers me most.
if you're not doing the obbjective I get it, but if you are and you choose to grind a 2-1 hard fought match instead of saving yourself hours and hours... you have to be completely ****.

The thing is this is rivals, no one plays rivals for fun... you play friendlies or pro clubs or career for fun. Rivals are for rewards so I just don't get the logic behind trading a guaranteed win for helping someone out.
But it's obvious who's a selfish **** and who isn't

There's nothing hard about Politano it's just time consuming. Spending hours grinding is not hard or skill based.

This is why I created this post. Because we all lose. Exactly it’s a joke. I’ve been spanked a few times by crap serie a squads, same with first owner objectives. It’s just how it is. I’ve been short of form

And here you’ll find one of your aforementioned try hards, who will force you into a sweat filled 1-1 draw.
Fully agree with you OP. There needs to be a middle ground for these kind of objectives, where you can do them outside of a supremely competitive mode. Rivals has become ridiculous and no one is in the division they should be anymore. Can’t help but feel sorry for anyone trying to do this legitimately in Div 3+

I’ve completed it now, I had three games where we let each other score, no messages exchanged whatsoever.
For the remainder of the games I just put two or three random seria a players in my team with the usual midfield and defence, actually quite enjoyed it if not a little tedious some times.
Fully agree though that there should be a stand alone objective mode.
I’ll never even use politano, just wanted the packs, koke, radja and burki were my best pulls
