It happened to me several times, probably you can help me to understand. There are those matches, you know, everything goes wrong and by 20 minutes you are 0-2 behind. My team on balanced, depth 5. During those 20 minutes despite the tactics, it seems like I´m playing depth 1 and drop back because my players don´t even go forward, but they don´t seem to defend either. They can´t cut a pass, they are out of position, and as I´ve said they were like playing depth 1 with CB just standing close to Gk.

So, during one match instead of changing to a more attacking tactic I´ve changed to ultradefensive ( depth 3, drop back ). Suddenly my players took control of the game. They attacked more than with balanced, CBs pushed forward and got the ball. I mean, the team seems to be more attacking minded than with a balanced setting. I´ve won that match 4-2 playing that way.

After a few matches, it happened again. Same sequence. Ended 3-2 in my favor. And then again. Even a 0-3 ( on purpose I didn´t change to ultra-defensive after 0-2 ) ended 3-3.

I know that drop back setting is op, but what I don´t get is why the team takes control of the game with ultra-defensive when it was not able to do it with balanced. Because is not that I´m counter-attacking, I just control the match completely.
