BorasLegend Masterclass?
Considering picking this up, but then I wonder how much it will help compared to the many videos on youtube on all aspects of gameplay.

Play on Xbox?Would rather buy FP than buy that.
He has all the same tools available as you mate it’s just doing it.
Learn some skills really well, learn when best to implement, practice in friendlies with lay outs, tactics, play style, then take to Rivals, then take to W/L.
I've been practicing alot, learnt some skills well, but some things I wonder if I just don't see or understand. Defense obviously being the biggest problem, I've been doing the skill games and trying to hit high score then practicing in rivals (div 6) since start and cant get out of it. Watched many videos and tried to implement what I've learnt, yet I still cant get out of Div 6.
Attacks good I can score goals, passing averages 82-86. But conceding 5 a game is screwing me over.
I feel like I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing defensively, cutting passing lanes, watching the runs, but still concede so many so I feel I'm missing something.
Wondered if this masterclass might save me somewhat. My record is 181-36-188 🙁 I just want to progress to more wins than losses ☹
I need offensive help, all I can offer is some basic defensive help

Boras already posts lots of good tutorials and tips on his YouTube page. Not sure what else his masterclass could possibly offer, especially when all the “lessons” were created over a month ago, prior to the latest patches which as you know always change the game, making older tips a little less relevant.

nah, you are just bad. a guy saying random stuff won't help you. you can only get better by yourself.

I just watch a few YouTube tutorials when I am struggling in areas. My top top for defending is let your midfielders do it, unless you have no choice.
I more or less use one cdm to run towards the attacker and the other to contain. The minute you pull a cb out of the defensive line is the minute you create a gap to exploit.

Honestly I wouldn’t know but I’ve learned a lot from his YouTube videos. At the end of the day it’s how much you practice outside of FUT(yes you have to put in hours in skill games and arena to master all sorts of stuff) and how good you are making quick decisions in-game, yes it’s also a mental one.

Good point. I do watch his channel and stream and listen to all the tips he puts out. I guess the doing is harder than the watching.
@Xguti002
Yes maybe the mental one is where I'm going wrong, I just stress every game and panic.
@Libguy
Maybe I'll post a full game where I get spanked all the way through, shouldn't take long lol.

If you're regularly giving up 5 goals a game you probably suck at defending and there are fundamental mistakes that you are making. Things like rushing out a cb in an obvious one-two situation will get you killed against anybody who is somewhat competent
Also, make sure you know the mechanics. This year you want to use jockey and the jockey / sprint combo a lot when defending.
What's your team? It's also possible you're okay but your team is all wrong. If your cbs are Maguire and Lovren I can probably tell you what you're doing wrong.
181-36-188 isn't that bad if it's mostly DR games. This game is designed to keep you around .500 since you're playing people at or around your skill level.
Jockey and sprint jockey is currently my most used feature. Team is actually decent, a 2-3 mil squad. Using all the recommended CB pairings but even had Dijk and Lenglet working together at one stage on full chem. Like I say not sure exactly what's going wrong as I feel I'm cutting lanes and tracking runs, jockeying all the time but the passes still find their way through. Tried low depth, park the bus and still concede so many, tried every formation and player instructions possible.
And yes it's mainly rivals, I was hitting 14 or 15 wins in WL when trying harder than ever, since then I've learnt alot, practiced alot, and then last 2 weeks only had 11 and 13 wins so it's got worse even though I feel I'm supposed to have improved.

I've tried that many times In the past but when watching top players they are always switching to cover some guy including using the defenders, but I do try and not make them run out to leave gaps.

Yeah, the mental game is huge in fifa. I played a game earlier today where the guy was all over me at the start. He was obviously decent at the game and was creating a bunch of chances and I was getting lucky. The first real attack I get, I snag a goal. From there I went on to win pretty easily. It was clear he just couldn't handle going behind and started to play a lot worse.
I'm the same way. I definitely get tunnel vision when I'm under a lot of pressure. I'll lose focus and just start thinking "just give me the ball and let me score." And then things like "concentrating on defending" can fall by the wayside.
Honestly, I don't know if there is a lot you can do to fix those sort of issues. Being aware that you play differently when you're under pressure and trying to keep yourself focused and calm could help. I'm sure that a lot of what separates the really good players from okay players is that a really good player can play the same if the game is 0-0 or if he's losing. It's not easy to do.

Yeah, maybe next time you're playing record some goals you concede and post the links. And not stuff where a guy gets off a contested shot and your gk spills it to a striker sitting in your box - you don't defend stuff like that. You just move on and know you're going to score the same sort of bs. You want to show goals where you think "man, my opponent just cut me up and made me look like a fool."

I bet it's this more than anything. Here's what I do to keep distractions to a minimum and have fun. Having fun stops you from stressing and substantially reduces your tension helping you play with reflexes rather than worry and tension. I know trying to have fun with the current installment of FIFA is not easy.
1. The commentators often **** me off so I don't have them turned on. Game is on silent. They can sometimes make bad comments that antagonise.
2. I listen to my favourite tunes that relax and create an upbeat mood. Concentrate on the music and where it takes and just play the game as a secondary thing.
3. When I sit down to play the game I am not playing for life and death but I am experimenting with my squad. So I set little goals and concentrate on those. For example, let's see how many tackles I can get this game. That helps me defend and my concentration is just on that goal and not the full outcome. This goal I know will go a long way towards helping me win but I don't think about that.
4. I don't play game after game. To reduce the stress even more. After a WL game play a squad battle or something to just relax and try a couple of things. Don't let the stress build. Especially if you are losing.
Mind you I'm no Boras. Sometimes I go on a 10 game winning streak but have experienced 4-5 losses in a row often as well. But mostly when I've been mentally not in a good place and let the emotions take over.
