EA needs to respect the community
This is going to be a long one so here's a short summary.
EA messes up sometimes. It happens at every company. But some of the times it's a big disadvantage for the players. EA needs to acknowledge this and compensate the community. But this doesn't happen. This makes me (and I can't be the only one) feel like EA doesn't respect and value me, the user.
It feels like they think "oh we messed up, doesn't matter because the players will buy packs anyways and they'll just keep playing the game". Which is exactly what we do. We're one of the most loyal communities out there and that is a good thing, but it should come from both sides.
I'll give a few examples of why I feel this way.
I'll start with the most recent happening. Last weekend (February 1st) I played weekend league and my first 2 games I won, or at least, I was winning when I got disconnected. I figured it was my fault, even though I have a very stable (wired) connection. Later I found out that it was because of the servers. And yeah weekend league was extended but I lost those 2 games and I'm not that great at FIFA so I ended up having 13 wins. So those 2 games definitely would have made a noticeable difference. I felt like this wasn't fair and EA should compensate me for the games I lost due to their servers lacking. So I called and was told that "there is nothing they can do". Which is ofcourse not true, they can do what they want. In the past (a few FIFA's back I remember being given some packs cause of some error, don't remember exactly). He should have said "we don't feel like we have to do something because we know you'll keep playing anyways so we're not going to compensate you". This on itself can ofcourse happen, but this was the drop. This made me feel so unappreciated and insignificant that I wanted to do something about it.
Another example is a few weeks back when the player picks were regular players instead of TOTW red player picks. I remember Twitter exploding with people being frustrated and it took multiple hours before EA even acknowledged their mistake and it took days before we got the correct rewards. It shows that their not as motivated to fix something that's a disadvantage towards the player, but when its the other way around? Woah EA can be fast. When Ben Yedder POTM sbc came out there was a mistake with one of the (I believe 86 rated) SBCs where it greatly benefitted the players. It didn't take a few days to get that offline did it?
Also with the messed up playerpicks there was 0 compensation whatsoever for the mess up. Again, this on itself isn't enough to come complaining but these things make you feel like EA doesn't take you seriously. Especially if you've been playing FUT since 2012. We get it, FUT has grown and the people aren't as important.
Another example is not getting a pack during Chinese / Lunar New Year. Back in the days we'd get a pack based on how many days you've been playing FUT that year.
So again these are all small things that on itself don't justify complaining about it, but add them all together and it's just not cool anymore. And these are just a few examples there are more but I believe the point I'm trying to make is pretty clear.
Dear EA, I've been playing FUT for a long time and I am feeling more and more insignificant and not taken seriously. When you mess up, it makes sense to compensate. It's the same when you go out for dinner. If your dinner is cold, the waiter usually offers a free drink or gives a small discount. It makes sense.
Dear EA community, tell EA when you feel like this. I see all of the tweets, with funny pics about EA Servers and all of the clown emoji's. But they don't change anything. Be constructive and explain why you feel a certain way.
(P.s. now that I have your attention please give us a second option to change the club name, I changed it for the challenge at the begin of fifa but now I can't change it back)
