how do i customise the controller

Hello, playing on PC, the controller functions are all messed up, up is down and the action button functions can only be used through the direction pad.

Can you customise the controller buttons to fix this?

I'm using a smart controller wireless game pad which works fine with my other games, it is in a ps style
