Why are alot of UCL cards the same price or cheaper than their base?
No Beainer as they look better and will hold value longer imo.

I think even the ones that are only a couple K more are worth it...
There's bound to be a "score x amount of goals with UCL players" objective
at the bare minimum it makes your team look prettier

They are more rare but it just doesn’t matter, they’re the same card. If anything I prefer the golds because it looks cleaner and in years past, any special cards fell victim to missing traits and chemistry.
I remember my IF Balotelli had worse in game stats than his non IF.
2 years ago Winter upgrades actually were worse than their lower rated and sold for less too once everyone caught on.

Tbh mate I've been so disappointed with VVD I've just sold him and will get all my coins back plus tax and just buying his base card. If I still dont get on with him then I will have rethink my team. But I'm a good defender and hes the best in the game so find it strange that he doesn't work for me. Buying his NIF now and will make a little profit.

Which defenders have you used before
Ramos, Sokratis, Sanchez and Scream Pique. I've sold the UCL and got his base card as I'm he will be as good as everyone ways. Wouldn't cost so much if this wasn't the case.

Definitely mate bet the next set of icon objectives involves them as as you say they look better. And personally I think they will hold value better as they're more rare.

Well each to their own but I saved a few coins takings this versions and feel they will hold value better than base golds. Just my opinion.
