My tip is just to not waste too much time being frustrated by this flawed game mode.
Here's how to guarantee an Elite 2 finish every week.
Play all matches on amateur or semi-pro.
Score 5 goals in the first half.
Put your controller down in the 2nd half and go do something else.
Collect your 800-ish points.
800 x 40 matches = 32000
+ 3000 from TOTW and Featured = 35000.
That's enough for Elite 2.
If you want to take a little extra effort for Elite 1, do the super bad squads on WC or Legendary.

SB mode is definitely the worse mode in this years game and shows the horrible state the game is in this year. Boring as hell to play. The rewards are definitely not worth the grind so best is ti avoid it for me.

Legendary buff just made the AI cheating more apparent. When AI wants to score there’s nothing you can do to stop them.
...although Nostradamus Dixon will tell so 20 seconds in advance (yeah cheers Lee!!)

Lots of good advice i'm sure but here's how you actually do it....
1) Get yourself a half decent striker....not an Higuian, not an Inaki Williams and cetainly not a OTW Icardi
(standard Suarez / Kane territory will do just fine).
2) Play on WC / Legendary against any team with less than an 80 / 75 rating.
3) Keep the ball.
4) ...in 1997 Peter Reid's Sunderland had 7 games to save themselves from relegation... in a fit of desperation Reid spent all of the £75,000 from the sale of Roker Park on 36 year old Chris Waddle. Reid then spent the final weeks of his tenure screaming " ...'ck sake give dah 'kin ball tah Waddler!!!"........although Sunderland were relegated Peter "Monkey Head" Reid was clearly a tactical genius as this is precisely the approach that many players now use to be less 5h1T at Fifa.
5) It has been stated above that you should set the rest of the games running on beginner / amateur and watch TV but that wont get you to Elite 1 i'm afraid....the trick, is to get a seven year old to play the rest of the games for you (the one I sub contract to wins 95% of matches against all 80 to 85 rated teams on semi pro).

If you're happy with an Elite finish you don't need to do too much, you should get around 10 games against awful teams that are beatable on legendary, usually once you get the first goal as well things get easier. Win those 10 plus the featured games and you'll get an elite finish, might need to smash a couple of better sides on pro or something just to be sure but you can get a fairly decent finish without too much effort.
Don't bother grinding the higher rated teams, the AI is irritating af.

just take your time, dont rush passes and wait for players to make decent runs. you can use pace against lower rated/ low chemestry teams. and try not to get frustrated when that bronze ST that is playing in goal saves everything

Have to disagree regarding rewards.
I completed icon swaps last week, think it was 5 or 6 games, then played a few more to complete objectives, honestly can't say how many in total I played, roughly 10 give or take, finished gold 1, got 10 or 11k and 3 packs, pack 1 contained cavani, pack 2 contained cavani,😂 and pack contained ousman dembele and some crap inform.
So roughly 100k worth of rewards.
Far better than anything I've got from G3 WL, and a hell of a lot less stressful 🤣🤣🤣

Look at all the complaints on this Forum alone - Revert the changes to Legendary Difficulty in Squad Battles as soon as possible as this is no longer Football.
Absolutely, this has been my experience too. But I still get those occasional Legendary matches that are super easy (won 9-0 at a canter last night and I'm average at best), so the changes haven't been applied across the board.

Skill moves are key, even simple stepovers to cut inside work a lot. Also be very patient and don't play risky passes...it's boring but effective and wins me about 90% of games on legendary.

Slow, try and aim for 90+ pass accurately,
Fake shots, wide men, cut back goals.
Can win every match I play on Legendary sometimes 9-0 other times 2-1 if Ter stegen is in nets

Treat it like an online game.
Look mainly for passing options you think will 100% make it because the AI intercept easily.
If you're leading or drawing at around the 70th, the AI goes attacking so look to capitalise on that.
Play 442

Only play the sub 3 star teams on WC and only play as many games as you need for whatever objective you are going for. The rewards from SB aren't worth the time v the stress.
I literally play 5-6 a week on WC for objectives, plus the 2 unique squads which I put on beginner, score a goal and then watch TV for 15 mins.
Usually enough for G2/3 and you hardly have to touch it.

World Class seemed very easy when doing the icon swaps! just play the lowest rated team with terrible chemistry and refresh the opponetns when youy run out, they can barely score if you drop the controller

It's very frustrating isn't it. World class just feels impossible, any tips?
World class is easier then semi pro trust me, what you have to do is pass pass play wide get them off position and sweaty it, offline games has always been boring for me tho I only play when I need to do a challenge
