I am hoping someone can help me make the best of a bad situation (aka Fifa 20 in general atm) and offer some advice on potential things I can do to improve the current challenge I am having with sluggish gameplay / input lag.

I am currently playing on a PS4, and a mid size TV screen with wired or wireless connections and my controller plugged in. I have the TV in game mode with the picture size reduced.

I appreciate my set up isn't ideal (monitor would be better) but can anyone suggest anything that I can do to improve things?

I am experiencing the sluggish gameplay both offline and online so not really sure what is causing the issue. Especially as on a TV further away from the router, gameplay speed seemingly improves.

So far I have tried the following without seeing any noticeable change:

- used varying screen sizes
- changed privacy settings on FIFA
- different output settings for PS4
- different set ups on the TV I would be using
- different controller

- changed DNS settings
- tried a different HDMI cable

- even tried swapping consoles for the one that was quicker (this actually slowed gameplay from better experience on that console)

Internet speed is currently averaging over 30 mb d/l and around 6 mb u/l. I have not got any issues with any other online games and regularly play PSNow with no issues at all.

Tend to play after 10pm GMT.
