What's The Disadvantage To Using 'Aggressive Interceptions'?
I've never used aggressive interceptions before as I remember reading online a while back that it drains your players stamina like mad. I've been losing over and over again recently, and had to do some experimenting with my team to see what needed changing, so I turned on aggressive interceptions, but only on my players who either stay back or stay forward. I did this as I noticed that if a player is on stay back or stay forward, they usually still have around 75-85% stamina even at the 90 minute mark, obviously because they're not tracking back or running all over the pitch constantly.
I just won 6-1 and ended up with 70% possession, even though I don't play a possession based style. My players won the ball back SO easily, it was ridiculous. Granted, the guy I played against might not have been all that great but he had several icons and in form Mbappe + Ronaldo, so I figured even if he wasn't a good player I'd still be at risk of losing just because of the players he had.
Anyway, is this what loads of people use? I'm talking about the guys you play against who manage to win the ball back from you like taking candy from a baby. I KEEP coming up against this kind of player, and could never understand how they manage to win the ball back so easily, but perhaps it's partly due to aggressive interceptions?
Is there a downside to it apart from stamina drain and is it worth using?
