RTTF Upgrade Stages (Confused)
So, from what I can tell from this, if a team wins their first knockout game (The first leg), the player will get an upgrade? Seems a bit strange, but essentially it means if they qualify for the quarter finals and win the first game, they'll actually get two upgrades (plus the one for qualifying for the knockouts in the first place)? But if they lose the first game, but still qualify for the quarter finals, they'll get one upgrade? Seems strange to me but I'm not gonna complain if that is the case. Just means somebody like Militao will get 3 upgrades just for making it to the quarter finals, which makes these cards seem all the more appealing

so what happens if the team of the player wins the CL but lost the first leg game, then he would never reach his "UEFA CL Winner" rating, correct?

Actually they upgrade like in forms if I remember correctly. My UEL Alonso went from 81 to 84 last fifa.
Wow. So if RM do qualify for the CL Quarters and win their first match of the knockouts, Militao will look something like this
Worth it imo considering what Carlos Alberto costs
would be 87?
Event Launch - 84
Qualify for knockouts - 85
win first game - 86
qualify for quarters - 87
Apparently it follows the same path as IFs so his first upgrade would be 84 -> 86 and then +1 from there

Actually they upgrade like in forms if I remember correctly. My UEL Alonso went from 81 to 84 last fifa.
Marcos Alonso ? He ended up very high (had him as well), but I am pretty sure it was always a +1 per step?
They definitely follow the if upgrade path. Next upgrade militao will be 86

Yea I think it’s to create a bigger gap between the players that move through the champs league stages and those that drop into the europa and then progress through there

You explained it well but then you went off track again @Vaaass. Militao gets three upgrades when they qualify for the ko stages, win the first game, and qualify for the QF.

That is correct, if the team loses the first leg and won the cl, theoretically he would be 94 but maybe ea make them 95 who knows... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The reason for the first knockout round win upgrade for the Champions League cards is to give the Champions League players the same amount of chances at upgrades as the Europa League players. The Europa League first knockout stage is the round of 32, which is played at the same time as the first set of last 16 games of the Champions League.
