I had this problem too yesterday but in rivals. Only started happening since the most recent update. As well as any match that I do get freezing fora out half a sec every 3-5 seconds

Played against him last night. Pretty annoying actually. Doesn't matter about his defending stat. If he beats you to the ball he beats you to the ball. And he WILL beat you to the ball.
