I used to think I was such a good player, and it's almost like all these amazing ESports Twitch watching players have come out the woodwork suddenly and I'm just getting dominated all the time. I've been playing FIFA for around 15 years and never had a negative win/loss ratio, yet I've now got 200 wins, 245 losses, and every single game I go into now I just know I'm gonna lose the moment somebody does a drag back. It's not that I can't do any skill moves, it's just that I don't seem to have the motivation or will to spam them like I did when I was younger, and whenever I see somebody spamming skill moves I know they've clearly got more of a motivation than me to win.
Have been playing since 14, one division one every year i played until it became rivals, always hit elite one at least onece. This year idk what tf it is, but i cannot move the ball like my opponent. There players make brilliant runs, and my reads dont do **** for me. I realize its obviously me and not the game, but **** me people have gotten good lmao.usually always have a +100 win by about 200 games. This year, im plus 30 at 150 games, have zero clue what im doing wrong. Have been gold 2-3 every week, and feel completely lost on the field.
It's a weird situation that the MAJORITY of opponents are miles better than us. Surely just by chance I should be coming up against a sh*t or at least average player every few games, but I just don't. EVERY single person I play against just seems stupidly good. I'm only in Div 5 and every opponent feels like they'd tear sh*t up even in Div 1, so God knows what the players in Div 1 are like. I keep on assuming that these amazing players I'm up against sit there watching Esports pros on Twitch all day long in order to learn, but even if that's now what it takes to compete successfully with other people, I just don't have the motivation to do it. I never used to have to resort to that, so I shouldn't have to now.
