Scripting, random momentum changes, and handicaps have been in game for years... I still have pics of when they literally marketed the first year random momentum changes were implemented. They literally thought this would be a fun new tactical feature..

I absolutely hated it then, and I hate it now. This game, like every other sports game should have zero momentum boosts like in mystery ball, no handicaps, and no messing with the sliders. I want my Fifa to be ALL ABOUT SKILL, and not revolved around random uncontrollable boosts and disadvantages that determine the outcomes of my games.

I wish other people will see this, and dsmand EA removes scripting, random in game momentum changes, and handicaps.

I almost suffer heart attacks, popped blood vessels, and brain aneurysms every game due to these random uncontrollable changes. When my players fail to respond to my commands, I KNOW something is happening beyond my control.
I'd like to be in control of my players at all times, as it should be.

Whoever thought putting in momentum changes was a good idea should be fired. They must not be very good at sports games, even though these individuals helped create the game you've been playing for years..
Good points.

The momentum changes have to be with the players playing the game, not the system. Momentum is a mental thing that CAN NOT be duplicated artificially. When they try it is just that, artificial, and has no place in sports games.

Having players get injured, tired, etc, that I get, but EA has went beyond that it seems in recent years.

Honestly though, if you look at the board here and then on the Answers board, it is clear something is going on.

There are a large number of new players that can not access the FUT market and the stock answer is play more games, play all aspects of FUT... short of buy more FIFA points.

But have to say it is entertaining at least as an outsider looking in...

Continues to reinforce my decision to not buy FIFA 20 or any EA produced product.
