M8 when everyone was playing fifa 12,13,14,15,16,17,18 it was not lagging... i do understand that there is not so many playing fifa 17 today but for 3 years ago everyone was playing it and there was not so many complain about delays

Because until rivals head to head games were mainly p2p ( with some server assistance)

Now everything needs an instanced server on hardware, and hardware costs money.

If the average peak number of games going on at any one time is say 50k, guess what EA might barely pay for enough server capacity to run 50k instances. Anything over that and pot luck if you happen to be on an overloaded server cluster.

Plus they use the same servers for all thier games, thats why EVERYTHING EA often goes down at the same time.

You're asking for peak time redundancy from EA here... not going to happen.
