Getting disconnected in Fifa 20 Online Seasons9

I'm having issues since yesterday where I am suddenly being disconnected from online seasons matches. It takes me back to the home screen and says 'Unable to connect to EA servers.....'.

 

I am on a PS4 console using wireless connection as a wired option is not feasible. Have tried restarting router and PS4. Same issue.

 

I ran a speed test my PS4, and it's showing an error message of 'this router in use may not support ip packet fragmentation'

 

Could this be related??

Thanks for getting back. Yes I am exploring options for a wired connection.

 

Thanfully I played again today with connection issues (left all connections as is overnight).

 

But I'll follow your instructions next time if it happens.

 

FYI, my non-IT sense tells me my PS4 IP fragmententation issue is not connected to the EA servers issue, so good news!

Hi there, @InziOO7.

 

When being on a wireless connection, you'll always be far more susceptible to disconnects and lag than being wired. If at all possible, it would be good to move to a wired connection.

 

It sounds like this just started happening so the first thing to do is power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!
