Just had one game in FUT champs and turned the machine off midway through as it’s unplayable, clearly the other side is fine as they are sharp passing, turning well, shooting hard, when I go for a tackle that’s well timed I go between the player and the ball, passes drop short, shots at keeper every time.
Why is it we have a game that can’t be played at the time you want to play it??
It’s a joke!

My last game. I just left the game in the first half. This guy from germany was skilling everywhere with no delay while i cant move. Stopped this wl on 7 wins. No way am playing a video game dictated bu one sided connection. Until i am able to block all german players this might be my last fifa. While not just start the wl by automatically giving the germans their wins and save the rest of us the hassle. Even cod is matchmaking via ping. My ping to cod server is 15ms.

Tried to play 1 game earlier and just couldn't. Passes pea rolling in a different direction, ball bouncing off players shins and ricocheting 10 yards away, attackers/the ball glitching through my defenders.
Theres really no point playing this game online for 16 hours of a day, it's as if the game doesnt even know your players are even there

this weekend? it's been like this from the start, those poor hamsters don't get enough food
The early access was fantastic when it came to responsiveness, that’s actually the reason I bought the game.

It is never EVER going to get any better, they are the most selfish company out there and were just all so gullible for buying it every year thinking it's going to be a better game, it's the same game with new packaging simple as.

Saw your post elsewhere about the benefits of each. Good explanation mate. Maybe hit up EA, sounds like they could do with you!

I think this game also needs to go back to the first or second patch it had with just a few specific changes that were actually a progress. Most of the changes have just come to derail the gameplay. I can't even defend manually because the players never react quickly to my manual directing, even on Squad Battles.

It's this simple people. There are 3 types of netcode regarding the connectivity model they use: servers, P2P and rollback netcode (predictive). If EA really wanted to eliminate input delay from the game they would develop either a P2P or predictive netcode iteration of the netcode, these two types are focused on mitigating input delay as much as possible for both sides, without the interaction of a third party which doubles input delay (because data has to go to the server and then travel back to you, increasing input delay by an extra 100%). Predictive netcode would allow you to play almost as if you were playing Squad Battles, the difference between Squad Battles artificial input delay and Rivals would be almost impossible to notice. With P2P, that difference would still be just a little bit noticeable, provided that matchmaking is modified to search for lowest latency opponents instead of geographically closer to the player.
It's servers netcode which is disappointing everyone by causing 150 - 250ms latency when you could be playing with people in your own country, or locally in the same city/state at 10 - 15ms. But no, EA and the AWFUL network team decide to take the longest route redirecting people to servers, which need to disappear, in Germany when you are in UK and that highly increases latency. This is happening to most users in most countries because in most there aren't and there will never be servers. Even if there were servers in all countries which is financially and logistically impossible that would still mean you'd get double the input delay you'd be getting with the same latency on P2P or predictive netcode.
P2P and rollback netcode are far superior technologically advancements and servers netcode is from the '90s. We need to stop asking for servers and ask for P2P instead. Whenever you ask them "to improve servers" you perpetuate this issue.

That is a clear example of the existance of servers causing an unnatural redirection when you both could be playing on a direct and perfect connection with no third parties involved increasing a hop and doubling input delay, not to mention that you surely have a really bad latency to the german server which is the point I made above about being redirected to far away servers and being at an unfair delayu disadvantage.
You guys could be playing at about 50ms on P2P with only 3 or 4 input delay animation frames, instead of 20 or 30 you suffered while the german player was playing smoothly being close to the server.

Its not just the delay, it literally plays differently rather than being the same but slower.
Defenders are clueless, attackers don't make runs, clear fouls are ignored.
I can't be bothered anymore, I wish I had never got into to FUT, More stress than it's worth
Pathetic
Yup, quit playing fut this week

Totally agree, it is the worse it has ever been in all the years I've been playing fifa, this has to be sorted, there's only so much people will take before they give up playing and move on.

Technically, there is nothing wrong with what you are saying. However, how would you prevent me from manipulating my router to get an amazing host advantage and/or launching a DoS against my opponent because getting their direct IP would be childs play. In short, P2P may not be as simple a solution as you think because we would all be back here complaining about several different types of exploits being used.

They dont care. Should be obvious by now.
This is how it will be rest of Fifa20.
Well i guarantee you no one will be playing this game past christmanms then. Just yesterday one of the biggest streamers (nick28t) couldnt stream the game anymore and called it a night. Thats someone that plays Fifa for his JOB. LET THAT SINK IN. Even if you get paid money to play this game you would rather not do it. And we are only 1,5 months in the game LIFECYCLE of 12 months. Yeah ea will bleed to dead if they let this stay in this state.
MOST HORRIBLE GAMEPLAY IVE EVER PLAYED IN FIFA AND I PLAYED ALL FIFAS EXTENSIVELY SINCE 2002
