New players' honeymoon
So it may sound dumb but I really want to understand this law which makes new players insane during their first game, sometimes fist 3-5-10 games, before they become slow and unresponsive like the rest of them.

Every single time I buy a player (speaking about good players which make a difference) I am amazed at how amazing he is especially the first game, then slowly becomes average again.

I have a two strikers formation, packed Mbappé at the beginning of the game (dont hold your breath, only good pull of the year despite buying FP - yeah I know I suck for buying FP - quite a lot too.

I first had Lacazette with him. Amazing first 3 games, then normal player.

Replaced by base Crespo. I was like omg what an upgrade. Absolutely amazing for like 10 games then back to normal.

Replaced by Son. I was again thinking I should have moved to him quicker he was immense. Back to normal after like 5 games.

Replaced by CR7. Scored 4 goals and assisted 1 in a 5-2 victory in my first game with him. He was just completely insane and not missing anything. Had scored a bit of everything too, a header, a volley, a rather long shot from just outside the box and one from close range after dribbling a few defenders.

I was like OMG he is the real deal this year. Well, after scoring 4 in 1 game, he scored 3 the next 9 games (assisted a lot but still).

What can explain that ? So many times have we seen players - me included - raving about their new signing after they played 1-3 games, before the player turning back to the usual average. Any thoughts ??
